Islamic swim and sports wear

I know that it has been a while since my last post, i have been very busy with the kids lately.
However, yesterday as i was (as usual) googling around i thought about looking for Islamic clothing, since it is sometimes difficult to get something good looking to wear for me here in Canada ( i mean for Hijab) Here you find everything but you need to search for things you can wear with Hijab. And i came across the Muslima swimwear, it claims to be the swimwear for the active muslima.
I found several websites for several companies offering the swimwear online all over the World. The question is who wears them? I am not sure if it would so easy to wear them and walk along the beach, the people will look more at you in this way. And i am speaking about outside of the Arabic countries. However, it is a nice idea to be able to wear something like this if you have the courage to face the peoples curious looks and questions.
The picture shown is from the website ahiida, from australia for sports and swimwear.

yes you are right it will be strange if the woman was not naked in the beach. but if I want to swim I will wear the costume and I don't care about the curios eys.

Thank you Libya for posting this, becouse we all suffer with the same problem.
I don't think men understand it as we do,plus it isn't personal problem at all,we really can't mention how people in libya treat women in the street not even in the beach.

However, every woman wears hjab wants to share and enjoy the time with her kids on the beach since it's the most enjoyable activity for them during the summer, meanwhile most of us won't be comfortable with people's curiosity on the beach.
However,I think Canadians and Americans are getting used somehow to see Muhajaba woman on the beach,my point is, it's worth it to try ,one time and see :)
I thank you again for the websites, cause i was looking for some over the internet and couldn't fine.

Your hair is covered and technically so are your other bits and pieces ,but once you enter the water it will just be another wet t-shirt contest .Why bother ?Just buy a wet suit to wear and get it over with, like they wear to scuba dive in .

Salaam alaikom sister! As a muslimah convert I missed swimming once I started covering. It was a fun activity I enjoyed with my children when they were smaller. I was afraid of wearing a hijabi swimsuit to be honest, because I didn't want to be a freak show. Finally I decided that enough was enough and I'm not the one with the problem, it's the people who are staring.

Anyhow, I then started looking for a swimsuit to wear and couldn't really find much out there that I liked, found comfortable, or found terribly affordable. (And there are some that didn't do any of those!). There were other problems with some of the suits, like they were skin tight. Just because your skin is covered doesn't mean you're doing proper hijab.

It finally all clicked with me and I started my own company in the US. Selling swimwear. My products are available in the US and Canada, N. Africa and the M.E.

I didn't post this to spam you, but just wanted to let you know, I totally know how you feel. Be brave and if you want to do something, do it!

(oh, and as far as "wet t shirt contest" my swimsuits have a special treatment that makes them dry extremely fast, you can see the water wick away from them).

Anyhow, like I said, be brave, one must be to be a Muslim woman these days anyhow :)

Salaams
